Route direction: Split - St. Jure (Kozjak) - Split

Route description:
The ascent to St. Jure, the highest peak of Kozjak mountain, is a Split classic. The track is a favourite with advanced cyclists for whom a ride on Marjan hill is not enough training. This route of nearly 800 metres ascent is ideal for a tougher training during workdays. The track is not technically demanding and is mostly on asphalt. Gravel is only the last few kilometres when leaving the main road at Blace. A peculiarity of this track is that it partially follows the route of the old narrow track railroad “Sinjska Rera” which connected Split and Sinj until the 1960s. At one point you cross an old rail bridge. At the top is a panoramic telescope, with an exceptional view of the Split area and in good weather even the furthest islands.
