Book promotion for “Cycling Guide - Central Croatia, Slavonia, Baranja and Western Srijem” will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at 17:30 at the Technical Museum of Nikola Tesla.

For the first time, all of the essential information and bicycle routes throughout Pannonian Croatia are in a single place! “Cycling Guide - Central Croatia, Slavonia, Baranja and Western Srijem” has been released, and it is intended for cycling beginners and experienced cyclists.

Experienced bicyclists and experts in this field have written the new cycling bible for Croatia, and we’re sure that many people all over Croatia will use this guide to meet Pannonian Croatia on two wheels. In addition to encouraging a healthy lifestyle, this book also promotes active leisure. Cycling has been a part of Pannonian Croatia since the second half of the 19th century. And in recent decades, cycling has become a favorite form of recreation. Because of this, a lot of attention has been paid to the regulation of content-rich bike routes, many of which have found a place in this guide.

Authors Lidija Vrečar Mišćin and Robert Rigo are passionate fans of cycling. Together they have created a number of projects displaying all the bike routes on the Croatian territory, and since 2004 they have regulated the web portal pedala.hr. Mišćin and Rigo point out that this guide provides an introduction to the possibilities of cycling on marked and unmarked and paved and unpaved routes in the tourist region of Central Croatia and Slavonia, Baranja and Western Srijem. The described routes are all of different lengths and degrees of difficulty, but are tailored to various groups of cyclists - from families with children, to classic amateurs and those seeking more challenging terrain. The guide takes you through the vast, fertile lowlands, dense oak forests, the rivers, lakes and swamps with beautiful resorts and farms.
