Lonjsko Pole, the largest protected wetland in Croatia and the entire Danube basin, is a nature park located in the village of Jasenovac.

On June 3, 2017, the Lonja Bike Tour will be held!

Cyclists hoping to participate in this not to miss cycling event can join the "LONJA Bike Express” which will move from the main station in Zagreb to Velika Gorica, Lekenik, Sisak and Sunja. In Sunja, cyclists will be welcomed by the organizers of the bike tour and the employees of the Nature Park Lonjsko Polje who will host this full-day excursion, complete with a local tamburitza band.

The bike tour then moves from the railway station in Sunja towards Lonjsko field in the village of Selišće Sunjsko, a traditional spot for ferry riders to travel across the Sava River for Čigoč. Here is where cyclists will have their first break on the tourist farm Tradicije Čigoč. 

After refreshments and a tour of the European Stork Village, cyclists will move towards Mužilovčica where they can enjoy an unforgettable view on the unique Lonjsko field. After a rest and refreshments at the hunting lodge, cyclists will take the winding Sava river valley road through the picturesque village of Suva, Trebež, Puska, to the Krapja Architectural Heritage Village. In Krapje, cyclists will have a longer break which will be used for lunch, getting to know the Posavina wooden architecture, a boat tour on the Sava River, and the opportunity to taste and buy traditional local products. After the break, cyclists will continue through the village Drenov Bok and arrive in Jasenovac and the train station where the ”LONJA BIKE EXPRESS" will return to Sisak and Zagreb.
