Association Sunce stands for nature, the environment and sustainable development.

This weekend, Association Sunce brings back the ever so famous Split Bike Tour!

On Sunday, September 17, 2017, at 16:30, cyclists from Split will gather to promote a healthy lifestyle together while sending a message to the citizens of the city to use their transport alternatives.

This year, the Split Bike Tour will mark Europe’s day without cars, crowds, smog and stress and aims to celebrate European Mobility Week!

What exactly is European Mobility Week, you might ask?

“Since 2002, the European Mobility Week has sought to influence mobility and urban transport issues, as well as to improve public health and the quality of life. The campaign also gives people the chance to explore the role of city streets, and to experiment with practical solutions to tackle urban challenges, such as air pollution.

The European Mobility Week campaign provides the perfect opportunity to present sustainable mobility alternatives to local residents; and to explain the challenges that cities and towns are facing in order to induce behavioural change and make progress towards creating a more sustainable transport strategy for Europe

Local authorities are strongly encouraged to use the Week to test new transport measures and get feedback from the public. It is also an excellent opportunity for local stakeholders to get together and discuss the different aspects of mobility and air quality, find innovative solutions to reduce car-use and thus emissions, and test new technologies or planning measures,” states the official website

The gathering, like every year, will meet in front of the Banovina building on the West Coast. The goal of the bike tour and entertainment program will be at Club Zenta (former O'Hara).

Why not do good for you while doing good for the city and environment you love?
