Feel like cycling over 200 kilometers across Dalmatian landscapes in two days? We think we have the event for you.
Come and join the third Kaštela bike tour in celebration of Victory Day and a thank you to all Croatian defenders. This event will also be listed in the official program of the town of Knin.
Here's a look at what you can expect.
Day One: Saturday, August 12, 2017
• 7:30 Memorial service on Malačka, laying wreaths for the fallen defenders of Kaštela and the Kaštela hinterland.
• 07:45 Short speech by the authorities of Kaštela, a short prayer and blessing of the participants.
• 08:00 The mayor of Kaštela siren marks the start of cycling.
• 09:10 Arrival in Kladnjice. (16 km of cycling). There will be a 15 minute break, departure at 09:25.
• 10:25 Arrival in Vinovo. (26 km of cycling) There will be a 25 minute break for refreshments. Departure at 10:50.
• 11:20 Arrival in Moseć. (36 km of cycling). There will be a 10 minute break for refreshments. Departure at 11:30.
• 11:50 Arrival in Ružići at the memorial. (42 km of cycling). There will be a 10 minute break for refreshments and laying wreaths. Departure at 12:00.
• 12:10 Arrival in Otavice (Mausoleum) (43 km of cycling). There will be a 10 minute break. Departure at 12:20.
• 14:20 Arrival in Diocese (Crkvina) (74 km of cycling). Break for 10 minutes. Departure at 14:30 .
• 14:50 Arrive in Knin (82 km total driving). Refreshments and laying wreaths. Short speech by the representative of the city. A 30 minute break, departure at 15:20.
• 16:40 Arrive in Kijevo (105 km of driving). A short speech by the mayor, dinner and rest.
Day Two: Sunday, August 13, 2017
• 7:00 Departure 07:15
• 07:25 Arrival to the Church of St. Michael. (2 km - 10 min drive, 107 km of cycling) 15 min break at the church, laying wreaths and exploring Kijevo. Departure at 07:40
• 08:30 Arrival at the source of the Cetina river. (111 km of cycling). A pause of 15 minutes, departure at 08:45.
• Visit the Church of St. Savior. The old Croatian church from the 9th century. Departure at 09:00.
• 09:50 Arrival in Vrlika. (121 km of cycling) Visit the “Česme.” Brunch, go to church for mass, lay wreathes. A pause of 40 minutes. Departing at 10:30.
• 24:30 Arrival at swimming area Dabar. (143 km of cycling). Stop for a swim, recreation and refreshment - 40 min. Departure at 13:10.
• 14:20 Arrival in Sinj. (162 km total distance). Break for refreshments for 20 minutes. Departure at 14:40.
• 16:00 Arrival in Muć. (176 km of cycling). A pause of 10 minutes for refreshments. Departing at 16:10.
• 17:10 Arrival in Klis (192 km of cycling). Pause for refreshments for 10 minutes. Departure at 18:00.
• 18:10 Arrival in Kaštel Stari (212 km of cycling) Dinner and socializing.
Cyclists who choose to participate in the event will have cycled a total of 212 kilometers!
